The game of skipping rope is an activity practiced as a child's game and as physical exercise. Using ropes to jump has traditionally been one of children’s favourite games. Rope exercises are often used as a warm-up prior to other exercises, and are an ideal workout for sports that require vigor, coordination, and rhythm.
The rope jump hardens and renews the texture of the muscles, and is considered suitable for the heart and lungs. One of the devices of rhythmic gymnastics is the "rope", which to a certain extent is similar to the children's or training rope, but is used with completely different criteria.
